Neal Dhand

Neal Dhand is a writer, director, producer, and teacher from Philadelphia. Neal’s most recent feature film Dark My Light is currently in post-production. Shot on super 16mm in Florida in 2021, the film is a revisionist detective and sci-fi thriller for the modern day, starring Albert Jones, Keesha Sharp, and Tom Lipinski. 

Neal’s script Together has been a Nicholl Academy Fellowship and Slamdance Screenplay Competition quarterfinalist, and an Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition Second-Rounder. 

Neal has taught directing, screenwriting, and film history classes at universities in Pennsylvania, New York, and the Czech Republic. He lives in Philadelphia with Kat, Petra, and Ike.

Neal is a runner, reader, music lover with no talent for music, and baseball fan.
