Together with her sister, Kat owns a boutique travel business with an emphasis on small group travel based around community, shared interests and local immersion. The company, Onward Travel, was founded in 2014 and has successfully executed many dozens of trips in that time, and these days they operate a continuously sold out schedule. Kat has plenty of opinions about film herself, and she often works with Neal on his projects. Last year she produced the feature film Genoa (currently in post), which was directed by Neal and Mika and filmed on location in Italy.
Kat is an accomplished cook with experience catering weddings, parties and of course a few film shoots. Her family owned a cooking school for more than 25 years, so she has a strong background in making meals for a crowd, and that will come in handy as she will cook fresh and delicious homemade meals for our film retreat guests throughout the program.
Before she found herself in the travel business, Kat studied art and art history and attended graduate school at Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. She has lived abroad in Austria, Germany, the U.K., China, and Prague and loves to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures. In addition to food, travel and art, Kat's interests include listening to music and seeing live shows, the opera and ballet, and making quilts for people she loves. She lives in Philadelphia with Neal, their spunky, delightful children Petra & Nihal and a beloved pup, Ike.
